Built as a farmhouse in the 19th century from stones borrowed from the Abbey ruins, this inn sits on the site of the Abbey’s guest suite, where visitors and pilgrims would have received a warm welcome. You will still find a warm welcome at the Inn, which has two small and one larger dining area inside and beautiful grounds outside which are perfect for a marquee.
The Inn offers a classic romantic setting for your wedding with a choice of informal elegance in the dining rooms or a stunning marquee reception in the grounds – perfect for groups of 20 up to 80 inside, or up to 200 in a marquee in the grounds. Recently licensed to hold civil ceremonies, enjoy your perfect day before settling into our lovely rooms for your wedding night.
There are three beautiful bedrooms, two of which overlook the Abbey ruins. The Byland suite has a four-poster bed and a sofa, whilst the Mouseman suite is furnished in items by Robert Thompson ‘The Mouseman’ of Kilburn. The smallest of the three is the Kilburn room, a cosy home from home for your guests. All three rooms have gorgeous ensuite bathrooms.
Your wedding here can include having your canapés and drinks or photo shoot across the road in Byland Abbey, at very little extra cost.
